Audio Review: The Elite by Kiera Cass

SYNOPSIS:The Elite

The Selection began with thirty-five girls.
Now with the group narrowed down to the six Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon’s heart is fiercer than ever—and America is still struggling to decide where her heart truly lies. Is it with Maxon, who could make her life a fairy tale? Or with her first love, Aspen?

America is desperate for more time. But the rest of the Elite know exactly what they want—and America’s chance to choose is about to slip away.

REVIEW:

This book, oh my goodness, this book and I have an extreme love-hate relationship. America is a fickle, hot-mess in this book. She is a hypocrite, she judges Maxon for kissing other people but it is more than acceptable for America to kiss Aspen. This hypocrisy drives me crazy, absolutely crazy…I would jump into the audio-book and slap her if I could. As my loathe and disgust for Aspen continues to grow, I just simply wish he would leave, disappear, get shot…really any of the above options I would accept, happily.

Maxon’s father is a disgusting, despicable man. I am so happy that he is finally showing his true colors. Maxon had my emotions tongue-tied, I wanted to love him but then he fudged up and then I would fall again for him and be disappointed in him. The story is a truly wickedly twisted web. I absolutely love the grandeur, the challenges, the enchanted but desperate country fighting to find unity among despair. The story is captivating and intoxicating…on-wards to book 3, The One!
