SYNOPSIS:The One

The time has come for one winner to be crowned.

When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown—or to Prince Maxon’s heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, America realizes just how much she stands to lose—and how hard she’ll have to fight for the future she wants.

REVIEW:

This book was everything…EVERYTHING!!! Seriously, I cannot put into words the spectrum of emotions I just felt, my heart is full and broken. This book was simply a masterpiece. Maxon is his usual swoon-worthy self and although he had his moments where I doubted him, he redeemed himself. America really came into her own in this novel, she becomes more defiant, strong, determined, and powerful. She learns her own strengths and weaknesses and really grows as a character.

The book had me laughing out loud within the first two chapters, I was blushing and giggling and shaking my head. About half-way through the audio-book I had to pause it and gather my thoughts because I was concerned that King Clarkson was going to go A-wall. The last part of the book is a division between sorrow-hope-tears-and-fears. People die, people I didn’t know I was emotionally attached to until they die and I start to cry. Relationships are put to the test, some survive, some don’t.

The moral of the story is, this book is easily a top read of 2016. I couldn’t get enough. I cannot praise Cass enough for the enchanting and captivating world that she has created and by the last words spoken in the epilogue, my heart was so full as I smiled on an ending truly fit for a princess. Don’t miss out on these amazing stories, this one was by far my favorite!
