Personally, this wasn’t Jennifer’s best work by a long shot. While she can easily write the sexy men you will ever read about there are other things that a book needs to sustain my appetite. Abby has a dead husband and I felt so bad for him because it seemed like she was never really in love with him. She was always lusting after and fantasizing about Colton. I don’t understand why she would marry someone who you have no passion for…it made me want to punch her. Then my other pet peeve was that Abby was an editor; however, this felt more of like an author shout out session then a focus on the book. I have a bunch of awesome author friends, let me mention them all in this novella.

Abby has insecurities that are relate-able to every female out there. As a character though, Abby fell flat for me, if not overly dramatic and slightly annoying. There is a suspense in the story as well, and still that wasn’t enough to salvage this book for me.
