Review: Buried Secrets by Emme Rollins
SYNOPSIS:

Dusty has always been a hothead, far more impulsive than her twin, Nick, the calm, cool and collected one of the pair. But Nick is dead, found murdered in their local cemetery, and Dusty simply can’t rest until she finds out who-or what-has killed her brother.

When everything comes to a head, Dusty focuses on one thing: What happened the night her brother was killed in the cemetery? She’s sure Shane is keeping a secret and she’s determined to find out what it is, one way or another.
REVIEW:
I have mixed feelings about this book, I can’t decide if I enjoyed it or disliked it and it has been several days since I finished it. I liked the idea of the book and the concept but there were things I also didn’t like. I hated the fact that 35% into the book, I was bored. I felt the book was repetitive and needed to continue. From there the book started to pick up and by 71% I was enjoying the book and excited about what was going to happen next.
The book was an nice read. I was trying to change it up and New Adult Dark Suspense Romance, count me in, something different. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it dark, it lacked suspense, and to me it doesn’t really fit the title category of New Adult. The book also left me with many unanswered questions, what happened to Dusty’s father and Guy Walker, what exactly was Sam’s father, why would Sam do what he did, did she ever reconcile with Julia. The last problem that bothered me was financially, oh yes she is just magically going to live happily ever after with no college education and no savings. I know, maybe I am nit-picking but in the back of my mind these are the little things that could have made the story more wholesome to me. I enjoyed reading it, but if I didn’t pick this up as a freebie one day on Amazon, I honestly wouldn’t have read it.
