REVIEW:
This book was everything I was expecting in a Mature, YA Contemporary Romance. This book was sweet, complicated, and heart-felt. I loved Reverie, unique, strong, sweet, innocent while Nick was the perfect contrast of troubled, struggling, and trying to get his life together.The story progresses and I fall more in love with Nick, and I yearn to know more about Reverie (particularly her home life because there are several red flags waving in my mind). I won’t get into the details of the story or other unmentionable, evil characters, but holy, epic cliffhanger ending. At 88% of the book, I am thinking how things are coming together nicely then boom, an atomic bomb was dropped and everything is wrong.
Monica has this talent to get you to fall for this happily ever after that you have envisioned, then rapidly pulls it away and says you will have to wait for book 2. My fan girl heart cannot take the wait! I was left speechless, filled with an array of emotions and questions, so many questions. When does book 2 come out?! Not soon enough, I need it now! In conclusion, this was an excellent book, it exceeded my expectations and I am happy to see Monica transition from New Adult to Young Adult smoothly.
