This book was sweet and touching. It wasn’t a ball your eyes out read but it wasn’t boring either. It was just enough to keep me engaged and wanting to know more. The story starts off with Zoe and leaves you with more than enough questions to have you wanting answers. Why is Zoe moving, what happened to her, what happened to her parents, why is she such a mess? As the story progress you slowly get the answers to all of these things and more. You also meet Miles, the gorgeous bar owner who is drop dead perfect. In my opinion, Zoe was lusting a little to hard for Miles when they first meet; however, as the story progress you can’t help but fall for each character.
You meet a ton of secondary characters and I knew from the start that I wanted to hear Blake’s story and Etta’s story, maybe even an adult version of Duke story. I want to know more about these secondary characters that are sweet, kind, and will steal your heart. This story wasn’t just about tragic events and falling it love, it was about learning to heal from old scars. It was about finding yourself along the way, regardless of how life tries to deter you. Overall it was a nice read and I am definitely looking forward to Blake’s story!
