REVIEW:

I am kind of on the fence with this book, it had things I liked and things I hated. So Seekers is about Quin, John, and Shinobu training to become Seekers and it is told from numerous view points. The story flows and you find out that Quin and John like each other and Quin’s father hates John. Long story short, we find a deep betrayal and problems so deeply woven in the Seekers extensive history that the boundaries between good and evil are no longer clear. What is just, and what is un-just?

The story flowed smoothly and I really enjoyed the different view points and the opportunity to see insider a lot of the character’s heads. Unfortunately, there was really no clear villain for me and I think that is what drove me crazy. I need a clear villain, someone who could take all this anger and direct my book rage at and there wasn’t that. I think there were certainly some evil characters or some who have serious issues but there wasn’t a clear, this is the bad guy, even though Quin tries to define one at the end of the book. I guess after knowing all the background information on each of the characters I can’t see a clear villain so I am undecided about this book. It wasn’t bad but from the cover and synopsis, I believe it had a lot more potential.
