Review: The Shape of My Heart by Ann Aguirre
SYNOPSIS:

REVIEW:
I have tried, I have made a solid, concerted effort on this particularly series, this particular book and we have decided to amicably go our separate ways. I want so badly to like these books but they just don’t do it for me. Lets start off with this book, the first 50% was amazing, phenomenal, I was on the edge of my seat and swooning. However, the last 50% was borderline D.N.F. I was really struggling to read it because I thought the story should have been completed, it felt dragged out and completely unrealistic.
Allow me to further explain. The first half of the book was a dance between Max and Courtney, both developing/realizing they have feeling for the other and then trying to suppress them or use excuses. Its silly and sweet and cute; unfortunately, once they arrive back at school and things eventually come to a head the book hit a wall for me. Courtney was too much (I have never felt this way before, I’m so in love…its been like 2 days and its called the honeymoon phase of the relationship). I found myself getting further annoyed with Courtney and Max, mostly because even if you are friends who eventually date I don’t find those type of relationships going from 0 to 100 overnight and that’s what happened in the last half of this book. I wanted to love it but I couldn’t.
