REVIEW:
This book was positively delicious. I have been following The Beachwood Bay series since Melody Grace released book 1 and in all honesty, they get better everytime. Brit and Hunter start one summer with a one night stand, no strings attached. Three years later they are thrown back together, Brit still suck in Beachwood Bay wishing she was anywhere else and Hunter trying desperately to escape his parents, social obligations, and guilt. This is the story I imagine when I think of true love, the kind of love that is timeless, limitless, and unexplainable. Brit and Hunter are irrevocably drawn to each other, even if Brit tries to deny it.
Brit is a strong, kick *ss character, she is rough around the edges and unpolished and I love that about her. Hunter is amazing, he is sexy, sweet, determined, persistent, and conflicted. Hunter is carrying the weight of the world around and he masks it so well. I never saw the pain that he was holding onto. Where as Brit puts on a front to mask her pain. Hunter’s parents are a special type of toxic and when push comes to shove, Brit and Hunter’s love is enough to concur any fronts. It was a truly beautiful story and I read it in one sitting because I simply could not put the book down.
