Where do I begin, shall I start with my first love and first marked man, Rule. He has had my heart and has held it captive since the beginning of this series and it feels like a long time ago. Asa has come into the picture and he ruined me for Rule and all the other marked men. Asa now holds my heart, this delicious sweet southerner was captivating, seductive, rough around the edges, and had me begging for more. Bravo Jay Crownover, you have really out done yourself with Asa and Royal.
I loved this story, I loved how all the loose ends were tied up and as the book ended, I cried. I wept for the fictional friends that we were closing a chapter on; however, I still have the Saints of Denver to look forward to but it just won’t be the same. This book was everything I wanted. I love how rough and raw Royal and Asa were and how they were struggling but exactly what the other needed at the time. They were two puzzle pieces that made a whole, and they didn’t even realize it until they had fallen for the other. Simply put, this book was an exquisite masterpiece that had me crying, giggling, swooning, and smiling; it had my heart swelling with so much happiness that I smile as I write this review and close the page on the marked men series, which will forever live on in my heart (…and my fantasies).
