REVIEW:
This book takes the cake as my favorite in Beachwood Bay and I think it was because I related so much to Tegan! Tegan is drowning in the damage of a broken heart, the last thing she needs since she left rehab is another bad boy when she is still healing from the damage of the last one. Ryland is trying to salvage a life for himself after taking on debts to save a loved one but along the way it seems he is the one who needs saved.
First, let me gush about Tegan, I have dealt with depression personally and Melody Grace describes it perfectly! She hits the nail on the head where slowly you are sinking into the darkness and you only realize it once the light is completely gone. It was beautiful and well put, bravo Melody! Ryland is a rough around the edges man but what he really needs is love and stability and all he has ever received was chaos. I loved the banter between Tegan and Ryland, they would go from arguing to sizzling and sexy in a paragraph and I loved it. This story was the perfect combination of healing, self-discovery, and true love. An absolute must read!
FAVORITE QUOTES:
Because in the end, the most important second chance you’ll ever have is the one you give yourself.
It’s normal for so long that you don’t even realize you’re sinking until it closes over your head and it seems like there’s no way out.
