REVIEW:
Okay, so everyone who knows me, knows I love Jay Crownover, she is my spirit animal. I will read anything she writes. That being said, Bax wasn’t my cup of tea. I wanted desperately to fall in love with these characters but its so hard to love someone who is so bad. I honestly wanted to slap Bax upside the head half the time and tell him to get his head out of his *ss. I know that Jay purposefully wrote Bax to be like this; however, I couldn’t fall for him.
Then there is Dovie who seems like a push over but I find myself trying to figure her out the entire story and I can never quite put my finger on it, I can never pin point her personality. So Dovie, Bax, and their relationship aside, the plot is insane! The actual story outside the relationship blew me away, there were twists and turns that I never saw coming and literally left me with my jaw hanging on the ground. So I am going to pick up book 2 because even though I wasn’t a fan of the romance part, I was most certainly a fan of the crazy, twisted plotting Jay did.
