Review: Found In Us by Layla Hagen
**This can be read as a STANDALONE. The second book in the Lost series tells Jessica and Parker’s story.**
All Jessica wants is to be a good girl. She landed the job of her dreams at a museum and is trying to eliminate temptations. No more short skirts (when she can help it). No wild parties. And no men.
She particularly excels at that last thing. . .
Until her path crosses Parker’s. Again. Jessica remembers the last time their paths crossed very well. She was left with a seriously bruised ego. She knows it would be best to avoid him altogether. But the charming Brit makes it hard for her to elude his electrifying pull. He is as irresistible as he is captivating.
And enigmatic.
Because underneath the sleek Armani suit and the sweet British accent that makes her crave his touch, Parker isn’t the perfect gentleman everyone thinks he is.
He’s exactly what Jessica doesn’t want, but desperately needs.
A bad, bad boy.
REVIEW:
This book didn’t do it for me. I really enjoyed the first several Layla Hagen books I stumbled across but Found In Us seemed predictable. While I enjoyed learning about Parker and Jessica, I got bored with the story and actually struggled to finish it because you knew how things were going to play out at about 48%. So let me tell you where this story fell flat for me.
As you see in the Synopsis, the whole story is built around Parker is secretly a bad boy…umm no not really. He did what he had to do to get through college, which quite frankly we all do. His may have been a little extreme but its a story I have read at least 5 times over. Jessica is trying to get her party attitude under control but the same thing happened with her, she has her secrets…they didn’t emotionally move me and then I was left bored. There were loose ends that had me left with questions, what about Parker’s brother, what about Dani, how did James and Serena play out? I just wanted more of those and less of Parker and Jessica.
