One word to describe what made this book…Chet! I absolutely adored Chet, I was..I am, head over heels in love with Chet, from the cheesy romance lines, to the slow burn in his gaze, to the perfectly toned body, he was everything! Stella felt fickle, she was trapped by the past but wanted to live in the present. She really struggled with letting go and living in the moment. This at times was relate-able, and at other times annoying. It felt like she had multiple personalities…but the perfection of Chet made me keep turning the page.
This story was a slow-burn, ending in a dramatic conclusion. However, the ending felt rushed, I would have loved for 50-100 more pages after the huge, dramatic build up. You have this big dramatic moment, the entire book has been building up to and then it ends like 5-10 pages later…I need more! I have unanswered questions d*mn*t! Don’t even get me started on the unanswered questions involving the secondary characters…I just need more from the ending.
