Oh my God…I have found my book nirvana. This book was seriously breathe-taking, be still my heart! It is beautiful, stunning, and enchanting. Tahereh Mafi’s writing is my book euphoria. I need to gather myself to put my thoughts together but this book was just so d*mn amazing! I can’t get over how much I fell in love with it, even when I thought I wouldn’t.
Allow me to start with my complete 360 on Warner, he has been redeemed. I spent a decent portion of this book with a strong urge to punch Adam in the face, he was such a d*ck and said so many hurtful things that he lost all his redeemable qualities. Then there is Warner who I was desperately against and then slowly, gradually, my icy heart began to melt and I found myself sighing and falling for him a little more each chapter. Until it reached the point where I found myself loving him, and pining for him, and wishing he would come sweep me off my feet.
The book was action packed with enough drama and fighting to keep me thoroughly entranced. Juliette really grew as a character in Ignite Me and to watch her progress and grow throughout these book was beautiful. From fragile to strong, she was inspiring. The story was seriously amazing, I wish there was more. My only pet-peeve was the voice of James sounded like a nasally 12 year old, but the story was just too d*mn perfect for that to affect it for me. Can’t wait to see what Tahereh Mafi comes up with next!
