Review: More Than Enough by Jay McLean
There’s no emotion greater than fear.
No ache greater than grief.
No sound greater than silence.

I’m grateful he showed up on my doorstep,
pissed off and angry at the world.
If he hadn’t, I wouldn’t be here.
And I don’t just mean here on this journey with him.
I mean here, in this world.

I wonder what events in all our lives—hers included—are The Turning Points? The points where we all determine that the fear of our pasts and the uncertainty of our futures are greater than our need for happiness.
Here.
Now.
While time and everything around us stands unmoving… who’s to say we can’t have it all?
***
We wanted it all.
We wanted it with each other.
We thrived on the chaos we created.
And ignored the Mayhem that ensued.
Because falling in love was easy.
But sometimes, love isn’t enough.
REVIEW:
*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*
This book gutted me, in the best possible way. Jay McLean writes pure magic and has truly outdone herself with More Than Enough. Her writing is flawless as I go from moments of sobbing to giggling and it all flows seamlessly. Dylan is everything I want in a character and if you have read the previous books in the series he has grown into such and admirable man. I was enchanted with his courage, captivated by his pain, and entrapped by his determination. He is everything and so much more.
The whole gang is back and in true McLean style, she doesn’t leave us hanging. Heidi (aka Satan) is back and you can interpret that how you will. There are moments of grief and agony so intense I had to stop reading to let me heart have a moment…or it might be the fact that I couldn’t read through the tears. There are also moments of pure brilliance, I live for the moments of Mayhem. They were genius and I couldn’t contain the happiness and giddiness at the thought of them.
I have been with this series since the beginning and it is truly the end of an era. These characters are everything, supportive, generous, good-hearted…they are truly the kind of people I want in my life. I will truly miss Drunk Lucy, Silent Dylan, B*tchy Heidi, Bad-*ss Amanda, and everyone else! I would give this book eleventy-thirty stars if I could. Just read this book…you won’t be disappointed.
