REVIEW:
I don’t even know where to begin this review; honestly, what the ever loving hell did I just listen to? This book hurt, it physically hurt my heart. The audio for this book was phenomenal! I just can’t even, I am having so many feels. The last 20%, I don’t even know how to describe what I am experiencing right now. I am in a state of shock, you need to listen to the book!
The characters are complex and charismatic, rich and mysterious. I think my only complaints are at times the author would become repetitious and start saying the same or similar quotes over and over again. I found that to be annoying along with the lines where to describe the emotional distress of Cadence which is described as her being shot and bleeding on the pavement. I was pausing like what did she really get shot?! Only to realize that was just a description of how deep her distress runs.
Otherwise, I loved the audio book. I was really hesitant to start this book because I wasn’t sure if I would like it but it was a quick, enjoyable read. Enough that I will probably have a book hangover and be pondering over these characters for days to come.
