Audio Review: Fire by Kristin Cashore
SYNOPSIS:

REVIEW:
One great joy of reading a Kristin Cashore book is I am always left wanting more. I really enjoyed Fire; however, there were some serious issues I had with it. First allow me to discuss the good. The plot, the storyline, it was seamless, flawless perfection. I was entranced and captivated by the beauty of King City and the Dells. The emotions of all the characters are tangible and when they grieve, I found myself crying, when they experienced joy, I was smiling like a fool. The audiobook is phenomenal in teleporting me to a new magical world.
There were several things I didn’t like about Fire. First off, Fire as a character I found to be extremely weak. This was bothersome at times and endearing at other times. My biggest pet peeve is everyone in this book is a whore! Sorry for the language but seriously everybody is sleeping with everyone and having all these babies with random one night stands. I couldn’t deal with it, I was like can anyone have a commitment here?! Kings, queens, lords, it doesn’t matter where you are in the rankings…you are a whore in this book.
Overall I really liked the story. The greatest reason for listening to this book is holy, epic plot twists. Seriously, the twists and turns were unexpected and left me with my jaw on the ground. I literally had to pause the book several times just to wrap my brain around what the heck was happening. So if you ask would I recommend this book….my answer is yes!
