SYNOPSIS:

KATIE MCGARRY’S PLAYLIST:

I love music! I am highly inspired by it and one of my favorite things after finishing a book is to create a playlist. Walk the Edge was no exception.

“Rewind” by Rascal Flatts and “Night Train” by Jason Aldean—Both of these songs were highly influential when I wrote the scene where Razor and Breanna cross the old train trestle (scene from the cover of the book) and eventually kiss.

“T-R-O-U-B-L-E” by Travis Tritt—I danced to this song when I was much, much younger with an army boy at a bar that was much like the one I described in Walk the Edge. For one moment, Breanna lets go, dances, has some fun and the moment her eyes lock with Razor’s at the bar they are both headed for trouble.

“Blank Space” by I Prevail—The first time I heard this song was from Taylor Swift and I immediately thought of Razor. “Blank Space” describes him perfectly, but then I heard the harder edged version by I Prevail and I fell completely in love. Not only does this version have the rough feeling of Razor, I also think that the main singer sounds like Razor as well.

“Reflection” by Christina Aguilera—Breanna says in Walk the Edge, “The boy everyone sees, but nobody knows is with the girl who everybody knows, but nobody sees.”  This song describes this feeling.

“Ghost” by Ella Henderson—There is a secret that Razor’s father and the motorcycle club is hiding from Razor and it’s a secret that involves his mother’s death. His mother is like a ghost in the story, riding Razor hard, and he can’t find peace until he discovers the truth.
