Review: Heartbreaker by Melody Grace
They say that time heals a broken heart, but you try moving on when your ex is the most famous man on the planet.
Every time I walk down the street, there’s a billboard plastered with his gorgeous face: Finn McKay. Now he’s a drop-dead sexy rock star, but when I first knew him, he was just the boy from the wrong side of the tracks – and the first guy I ever loved. He broke my heart into a hundred pieces when he skipped town without saying goodbye – but now he’s back.
And he wants me.
I’m determined not to make the same mistakes twice, but the chemistry with Finn was always way too hot to ignore. He was the guy who had me sneaking out my bedroom window for just one more kiss, and breaking curfew parked by the riverbanks, steaming up his windows in the backseat of his car. The past five years have been good to him, real good, and between his dirty mind and that ‘I know how to make you scream’ smile, he’s breaking through my defenses all over again.
Maybe one last wild fling for old time’s sake is what I need to finally move on. But what happens when Finn wants more than my body?
This time he wants everything.

It has been way too long since I read a Melody Grace romance! D*mn, this book was hot, hot, hot! I am blushing just thinking about how steamy, dreamy, and delicious it truly was. So allow me to begin, upon first seeing this cover I was hesitant, I am not head over heels in love with it but trusting that Melody would take me to the romance promise land, I dived in. Several chapters in I was still skeptical for 2 reasons:
1. I am not a second chance romance fan.
2. I was worried and genuinely concerned there was going to be a love triangle.
For those who don’t know, I loathe love triangles and I feel that second-chance romances are all the same. To my immense delight, Melody Grace completely proved me wrong and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I fell for Eva and Finn. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, scorching, leaving me begging for more. Their witty banter had me giggling and smiling, their pain and heartbreak had my own heart breaking, and their passion had me fan myself and trying to cool the blush that was creeping up my neck and cheeks.
The secondary characters are hilarious and Melody absolutely nailed the appeal of a small town. From the gossip to the condescending prom queens, nothing escapes the word of mouth in a small town. Eva and Finn grew emotional throughout the story and for Eva to finally get her life back track was all I asked for. No one does romance like Melody Grace does romance.
