Review: Keeping Her by Cora Carmack
Garrick Taylor and Bliss Edwards managed to find their happily-ever-after despite a rather . . . ahem . . . complicated start. By comparison, meeting the parents should be an absolute breeze, right?
But from the moment the pair lands in London, new snags just keep cropping up: a disapproving mother-in-law-to-be, more than one (mostly) minor mishap, and the realization that perhaps they aren’t quite as ready for their future as they thought.
As it turns out, the only thing harder than finding love is keeping it.
REVIEW:
I think that Garrick, Bliss, and I just don’t get along. I always like the start of the story but I find that everything ends too perfectly. There is no drama build up or progression, the story starts off with insta-drama and then several pages later everything is perfect. I like the characters as individuals but there are things I am going to nit-pick. For example, Garrick suddenly becomes much more English and we find him using more of that terminology. Bliss is freaking herself out for no reason…in conclusion me and these characters just don’t mesh. I am going to try book 2 and then make my verdict on this series.
