Review: Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry

REVIEW:
This book was a nice read but it didn’t captivate and enthrall me like Nowhere But Here (Book 1 of the Thunder Road Series) did. I liked the story but I found my hatred for Breanna’s family really out-shadowed my love of the story. They are just terrible, selfish, *ss holes, all 10 of them! By page 54, I loathed them and even though they attempted to be better people toward the end of the book, I still felt they all deserved a swift punch in the face…especially her parents.
Moving on, lets talk about Breanna and Razor, I sorta loved their dynamic relationship. Their banter was adorable as were their moments of secret kisses. There was just a little too much drama in this book and not enough motorcycling. I wanted more bike rides and club action but what I got was Razor going through a journey of self-discovery and Breanna having an identity crisis. It wasn’t bad but just not what I wanted.
This book is filled with family drama, bullying, blackmail, and mental health issues. For me, personally, I didn’t particularly care for these things. I wanted more of the club life and the club atmosphere. I wanted stolen kisses on motorcycle rides. While I enjoyed the read, I was also feeling like their was just a little too much going on and that for me really took away from the relationship forming between Breanna and Razor…
