Review: Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins
SYNOPSIS:

REVIEW:
This book was everything, and so much more! I don’t think words can accurately describe how much I enjoyed reading this book. There is the perfect balance of action, romance, high school drama, and friendship that left me with nothing but a smile on my face. You know you have truly found an amazing author when the sequel blows the first book out of the water and Sweet Peril did exactly that. Anna’s father is absolutely hilarious and had me in tears at moments with his take no sh*t and stay away from boys attitude.
Kaidan… I have so much sighing going on, I just can’t contain my inner fangirl. I am in love/lust with Kaidan; however, Kope isn’t too bad either. I mean d*mn, once I learned more about him, he was digging a place out for himself in my heart. I loved how Anna is doing what she needs to do to survive but she is also having an internal struggle. Her moral compass never waivers in her quest for justice and it is awe-inspiring. Her and Kai are resilient, determined, and occasionally stubborn. It has been several days since I put the book down and these characters are still plaguing my mind.
Wendy poetically captures heart-ache in Kai’s lyrics, and accurately portrays the trials of young love while not losing the main story. This story has me bewitched and I am so excited to see how it all plays out, lets hope my fangirl heart can handle it.
