Review: Havoc by Jamie Shaw
SYNOPSIS:

Wow, I just need to get it off my chest that Mike Madden is f*ckin’ hot…like damn I didn’t know all that was packaged up into a drummer. Okay…now that we got that out of the way, let me move over into the review segment of this. Jamie Shaw has fabulously mastered the art of writing a well developed character, which is both good and bad for us readers who get amazing characters like Hailey and utterly horrid characters like Danica. It has been a while since I read a story where a character got so far under my skin that I almost had to stop reading because my hatred for her ran deep. There were several moments of deep breathing and promising myself not to throw the Kindle in despair, but honestly Danica is a giant wanker.
Hailey and Mike are so wonderfully compatible that it had me in a fit a giggles of blushing. There chemistry is off the charts, the delicious sex scenes (holy, epic dirty talking I did not expect), and it makes me so happy to see someone as refreshing as Hailey getting a HEA. It’s not often we come across gaming in romance and Jamie capture the fun, energetic atomsphere to a T that warmed my nerdy heart. Hailey really developed over the course of the story, from timid door-mat to bad-*ss and confident. It was enchanting to watch Mike fight for the love that he desperately felt while Hailey internally struggled in silence.
Hailey was so damn relate-able and all the characters had me laughing out loud. These are such real stories (minus the rock star part) and its hard to part with and let go of people who now feel apart of your life. What would Dee wear? What would Kit say? What smart-*ss remark would Adam make? It’s the ending of an era to let go of characters that truly feel like tangible people. And that is when you realize you have found an amazing author, when you desperately wish the characters were real.
