Alright, this book was a big deal for me, you want to know why? This is technically, my first Tessa Bailey erotica and you know what…it wasn’t as raunchy as I thought it was going to be. So my biggest pet peeve with erotica is they usually lack a story line but the drama in this novel is front and center. From Ginger stealing money to Derek’s dirty talk, it was a seamless blend of sexy and engaging. I was drawn in for storyline but stayed for all the steamy-*ss moments.
I read Willa’s tale first and Willa is a witty, smart-*ss and her commentary on Ginger had me laughing out loud. Ginger and Willa’s mother is still the scum of the Earth and I absolutely loathe the woman. There are some scorching sex scenes that have been blushed into my memory but they flowed nicely with build up of the relationship. My one flaw is I would have preferred Ginger and Derek’s relationship to build up on a little more time, it happened kind of fast.
Ginger is so head strong and independent. There were even moments of complete shock over Ginger, she was full of endless surprises. Derek is the definition of alpha, he is stable, protective, kinky, and had me blushing in all sorts of ways. Derek knows exactly what he wants and balances out Ginger’s fickle personality perfectly. They are a perfect balance. Overall this story was simply sexy, kinky, and delicious!
