Review: The Adventurers Guild by Zack Loran Clark & Nick Eliopulos

I don’t even know where to start this review. First off, my middle grade, fantasy, gold standard is Fablehaven. I compare all books to that, because while their are hints of romance, the adventure is strong enough to carry the story alone. I have to say, The Adventurers Guild was on par with Fablehaven! This story blew me away, with rich imagery, vivid, lush descriptions, and an endlessly, thickening plot…I couldn’t put it down.
The story is unique and all its own. I was stunned by the character development and the twists and turns the plot contained! The challenges and growth the characters showed left me in awe. Now sometimes, I get confused when their is an abundance of characters and names thrown around but each character has their own personality and quirks that you can’t help but fall in love with each of them.
I was silently cheering each character on, especially Zed. The King gets no cheers though, grumpy old bat. And while the adventure was thrilling, lets not forget about the ties and bonds of friendship, these young apprentices are going to travel through thick and thin together. I can’t say enough good things about this unique world, other than the cliffhanger that has me begging for book 2 already! Actually, I will just take the entire series now please, I am dying to know what happens next!
