Let me describe this book in two words…GRANDMA NADINE! Seriously, I cannot deal with the hilarity that ensues this woman’s saucy, unfiltered, unforgiving mouth, bless her. I found myself grinning and giggling at her antics, she truly makes the story. Now let me move onto the actual story, I usually am not a fan of second chance romance but their is just something magical about Rachel Van Dyken that has me following her into any genre and story line. This story was silly and endearing; even while tackling tough topics, I managed to close the last page with my heart in tack.
Brant, well he was your typical, tortured alpha but fear not for his rock hard body makes up for it. Nik was sweet and brave, I loved her and Grandma Nadine’s relationship from the very start. The secondary characters and the banter made this story. Rachel has a talent for making conversations relate-able, I felt like I was a member of the staff or a guest who was at the hotel watching this all unfold. And while I certainly fell for Nik and Brant…can I get a book for Cole please? Where did this little slice of man candy come from? Yes, he absolutely deserves a book.
But for real, I am going to need more of Grandma Nadine stat, I will accept her intoxicated or sober for both versions bring me no greater joy…and I am not going to lie, Grandfather wasn’t all the bad either.
