REVIEW:
Oh thank God this book is over. I would like to title this review, that time I read a book where I literally cared about every single character more then the main characters. I am really mystified as to why the heck Nalini Singh went from picking prominent, frequently occurring secondary characters as her next books couples to this? Honestly, I coudn’t even remember who the f*ck Dev Santos was and don’t even get me started on “Katya”. Ugh, I am so annoyed by this book and the next one doesn’t look much better.
If it wasn’t for the fact that books 9 and 10 had characters I cared about I would have DNF-ed this book and the rest of the series. It wasn’t horrible, there was simply no emotional connection to these characters. I was only here for the plot so I wouldn’t be lost when the series actually returns to characters I like. I enjoyed seeing Judd in this book and learning more about the Arrows.
The bits and glimpses of Lucas and Sasha were fantastic and had me begging for more but I just cannot move past a whole book based on secondary characters that made an appearance maybe a handful of times each. Honestly, I am irrationally angry about this. I feel cheated because I am dying for Hawke’s book but yet I have to go through another story with another secondary character who was mentioned a handful of times as the main character. Quite frankly I don’t give a f*ck about them and if I could get a SparkNotes version of the story I would skip this one and the next all together.
