This book started off slow for me but let me tell you, it was worth the wait because when 50% came around…I was hooked. That is the point in the story when all things I have been hoping would happen…start to go into motion! I finally get some resolve in the love triangle…but let’s be real because that was never a possible “thing” to begin with. The story was action packed and I am finally starting to see a blend of romance and adventure, which the first two books lacked.
Samuel is absolutely wonderful and while I want him to have a HEA, I don’t want it to be with Mercy. Adam, well we all know I have an Achilles heel for alphas and I will go down with this ship…if I have to. Mercy, well she is a mixture of cares to much and drives me crazy. Half the time, the woman can’t make up her d*mn mind and the other half something is trying to kill her for what she decided on. Her stubbornness, while endearing and shows she has a big heart, it also makes me want to slap the sh*t out of her.
The ending…well that was particularly horrific and I never imagined that happening. I was in a stage of shock but also my heart was being ripped out. I didn’t know how to process it but at the same time, I couldn’t put the story down because I had to know if Mercy would be okay…could she get through this. The ending is also a slight cliff-hanger and not in the way you think. So help me if Bone Crossed doesn’t pick up where this book left off, I will lose it!
