This book was everything I hoped for and so much more! I have been obsessively stalking social media for teasers of this book since I laid eyes on the cover. Honestly, I knew I was going to love it, part paranormal, part mystery, all sexy…and I was here for it! This book was absolute perfection, from the banter, to the complex relationships, I was enthralled and captivated by these characters.
The de Vincent men are all drop-dead, gorgeous mysteries, and I want to solve every single one. The brothers all play a complicated dance around each other and you can never exactly pinpoint their relationship but know that they immensely care about one another. Julia was as sweet as candy, naive, and slightly innocent with a hint of a wild side. Lucian and Julia balance each other flawlessly, they can see through bullsh*t and speak honestly to each other. They had me giggling, sighing, and occasionally yelling at my Kindle.
The plot was thick, honestly at 87% I still had no idea what the h*ll was going on or how things were going to play out. Non-stop suspense and betrayal that had my heart breaking. No worries, JLA pieced it back together and gave me all the swoon I needed.
JLA is able to add artfully lush, vivid details while keeping my curiosity at peak interest. The setting of Louisiana was captivating and covered in southern charm. I adored the mystery surrounding the de Vincent men, they are thick as thieves, and I certainly hope they all get their own story.
