So I picked up this book on Amazon Prime Day at the recommendation from Kimberlyfaye Reads. I have been trying to expand the genres I read and transition into some adult romances. The different troupes and stories are really refreshing, and I enjoy mixing them in with my usual YA and NA reads. So I decided it was finally time to jump into Burn For You and it was absolutely delicious and adorable.
J.T. Geissinger is a new-to-me author, in fact I never heard of her before this. But that didn’t stop me from falling in love with her writing and this story. I was instantly swooning for and cheering for these characters, the story flowed seamlessly and I couldn’t put the book down. Initially, I was anticipating an insta-love story (which we all know aren’t my favorite) but that wasn’t the case. There was enough time, conversation, and communication happening that Jax and Bianca actually got to know each other over the course of the story while burning up from sexual tension. The balance was tantalizing and enticing, for I wanted to know more about both of them but at the same time, their chemistry couldn’t be ignored.
Both characters grew and changed dramatically over the course of the story and I adored their layers and dimensions. I loved how complex their histories were and it really added a depth to the story and made me love them even more. Jax, well he broke my heart and put it back together again. Bianca was a spit-fire ball of sassy-ness and I loved how her and Jax clashed. Both stubborn and set in their ways, I adored how there was a power struggle and how love won in the end. I couldn’t love these characters more, this story was fantastic and will definitely be one I come back and re-read again and again.
