REVIEW:
I am obsessed with these wickedly sexy royals from Karina Halle. I cannot get enough of them and Magnus was no different. He oozes intensity, sexuality, and cocky charm that you can help but sigh in contentment for this fine-*ss man. Magnus isn’t your typical swoon, he is your rough around the edges, peel back the layers, kinda swoon. I loved how he evolved over the course of the story. It truly felt like I was not only getting to know him but getting to know who he was at his heart, why can’t these men be real?
Ella is adorable, she is the perfect balance of cute and feisty. I love a woman who knows what she values and who she is, and that’s Ella. While some aspects of her life are uncertain, I found her to be decisive and determined. She also underwent a different type of evolution throughout the story. In the end, she came out more mature and with the relationships she so desperately desires to have with her loved ones.
The banter between Magnus and Ella is down-right hilarious. But d*mn this book was a slow burn. When they finally kissed around 50%, I actually cheered out loud. Finally! It was endearing to watch them grow together but as individuals. And when they eventually do come together, well let me just say, it is worth the wait. Karina knows her craft, as she not only captivates with the romance, but has you giggling non-stop from the antics of these royals. It was the perfect balance of capture my heart, but not weigh heavily upon my heart.
