Review: Switch Bidder by Sara Ney

SYNOPSIS:

Piper has been crushing on Ryder for years. What better chance to make her move than when he’s sacrificing himself to the squealing masses at a charity auction? Too bad she’d rather chug nails than actually bid on a guy who doesn’t know she exists. Or so she thinks…

In a twist of fate, Piper wins Ryder at the auction, but she never collects.

Now he’s determined to find out why.

REVIEW:

Well, Sara Ney just got escalated to the top of my TBR pile. I have owned her books for years but I haven’t read them. Then in typical fashion, Read Me Romance gives me the push I need because Switch Bidder was stupidly adorable. I had a big, cheesy grin on my face for half the book and the other half I was blushing and flailing.

This book really took me back to my NA roots, a long time ago when I only read New Adult…mostly because I was one. I don’t read it all that much anymore but this book was laugh out loud hilarious. Piper was so innocent, and sweet. I could see glimpses of my former self in her. Ryder was delicious, I would like more of the narrator who did his voice, please and thank you!

The story was playful and fun, exactly what you would expect of college students. I really enjoyed that the story focused on Piper and Ryder, there wasn’t some crazy, external drama trying to be inserted into the fold. My only complaint is it ends abruptly…to the point where I said out loud, “Wait, that’s it?!”. I wanted more, I still want more. It was just a breath of fresh air, I will now be starting the How to Date a Douchebag series ASAP!
