Review: Tempting the Bodyguard by J. Lynn

REVIEW:
Concluding my binge of the Gamble Brothers books with the last in the series and I am having some seriously mixed feels. Chandler and Alana are a different type of couple, non-traditional but also I felt like there was something missing from this story. I didn’t get sucked into the book as I did with the previous two books.
Chandler is a whole different type of alpha. He comes with lots of kinks, quirks, and determination. In the previous book, Alana was a horrid character and I found it difficult to connect with her as she was already put on my sh*t list. I enjoyed learning what made her tick and why she is the way she is but I couldn’t relate with her as a character. There was no common ground and I thought Chandler could do better. I am a savage reader like this who doesn’t believe in character redemption, at least when it comes to b*tchy women.
In another twist, the book was plagued with errors again which is disappointing and I am not sure why an editor seemed to be MIA with this series. The plot itself, well I knew how everything was going to play out at 20% into the book. I would have liked more of a build up but the story line here was more sex and Alana’s insecurities than anything else. I think the best part of the entire story was the epilogue in which you got closure on everyone. It was the warm, fuzzy ending that I had hoped for.
