Review: Felix and the Prince by Lucy Lennox

While it can definitely be read on its own, Felix and the Prince is the second novel in the new Forever Wilde series about the huge Wilde family from Hobie, Texas, whose patriarchs aren’t above a little meddling if that’s what it takes to help their grandkids find true love. Beware: nekkid man parts touch. Let’s just say, Felix gets royally screwed in the very best way.
REVIEW:
This book was the absolute CUTEST. Seriously, I am still smiling hours after I finished the book, it was all the feels! As soon as Felix was introduced in Facing West, I knew he was going to be something special. And the story did not disappoint!
Felix was a such a kind, gentle soul and a total contradiction. It was like he wanted to be a confident, kick-*ss man but was plagued by insecurities and his own geeky stereotype. Lio was the perfect balance for him, oozing confidence and sexual prowess, he brings out another side of Felix. And together, they both bring out the best in each other. Seriously, these two were just so in tune with each other, growing as individuals but also growing in love and passion…and I adore reading this type of relationship!
From their unique meet-cute to revealing their identities, there is a tenderness and level of compassion that flows between Felix and Lio. They get each other on a different level. Of course, they are going to have to fight for their love, for nothing good in life is free but they are both willing to make the sacrifices necessary…even if it takes some time. Honestly, it had my heart soaring, I was filled with endless giggles and an ache in my chest because these two are just perfect for each other. *sigh/swoon/hugs Kindle*
The secondary characters add so much richness to the story. Grandpa and Doc are not only there for Felix, but they open up their heart to Lio and effortlessly accept him into the family. Lio’s sister, Hen, added clarity and some much needed banter to break up heavy moments. Even Lio’s personal staff, Jon and Arthur, brought unique quirks and guidance to both men as they navigated their feelings.
This was just such a ridiculously cute story. It’s the type of book that leaves a cheesy grin on your face because both characters truly earned and deserved their happily-ever after. And with that, I am off to read the next book in the series!
