Review: Unwritten Law by Eden Finley
SYNOPSIS:
Being an identical twin doesn’t come without issues.
No one can tell us apart, not even our parents sometimes. We don’t usually use that to our advantage, but it comes in handy when my brother needs help breaking up with his boyfriends—which happens more than I’d care to admit. REVIEW:
I didn’t know how badly I needed a light romance like this, till I started this story. Unique and refreshing, I don’t think I’ve ever read a twin romance before. I went in a little nervous that this was going to be Parent Trap type switching and trolling but the story was so much more than that.
I really enjoyed Law and Reed both as characters and in a relationship. They are both prideful and determined men. The romance is based on a Reed having a physical relationship with one brother while having friendship/growing feelings for the other brother. Except what started off with a little white lie quickly spirals out of control.
The chemistry is off the charts and I enjoyed how when everything blew up these two sat down and had the hard conversations. There was no quickly brushing aside feelings and riding off into the sunset. They started to communicate and be completely honest, and that transparency had their relationship soaring to new heights.
The story line was delightful, there is some heavy drama with Anders (Law’s twin) but that doesn’t weight down Law getting his HEA. There was a scene towards the end of the book that involved the police and some lying to the cops, which I didn’t care for. But otherwise, but a light-hearted romance with a case of mistaken identity.
