Review: Truth or Dare by Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine
Truth or Dare is the final book in the Dare to Try trilogy and should only be read after Dare You and Dare Me.
Lieutenant Kieran Bailey never saw his life anywhere but the bustling streets of Chicago—but then again, he never saw his life with a boyfriend, either. That all changed when he fell in love with bombshell CEO Sebastian “Bash” Vogel.
But it’s one thing to fall in love. It’s another to try to build a life together when you live hundreds of miles apart.
How do you choose between everything you’ve ever known and everything you’ve ever dreamed of?
This series must be read in the following order:
Dare You (book one)
Dare Me (book two)
Truth or Dare (book three)
REVIEW:
I am not ready for this to end, but what a delightful way to go. This book was all about Kieran and Bash compromising and blending their lives. And after that…it was all about their undeniable chemistry both in and out of the bedroom. This book was balm for my soul, I just love reading happily-ever-afters, and there are no two more deserving of that than Bash and Kieran.
I was worried that the significant money differences between Bash and Kieran were going to be a breaking point. I like how Ella and Brooke addressed this and it wasn’t blown out of proportions and became a big ‘thing’. And while I loved how Bash and Kieran reached their compromises, I loved more the uniting of their separate families. Bash meeting the Bailey brothers/significant others had me laughing out loud. Sean literally losing his ability to speak had me in tears from cackling. I also love how Bash serves as good as he gets.
But my absolute favorite moment was when the Bailey brothers meet the South Haven crew. I don’t think I noticed how similar Sean/Lucas were until you threw them together. And the welcome gift they got Kieran, oh my goodness! I died, the hilarity that ensued, I swear I spent half of this book laughing and the other half blushing. Which is honestly the bright, uplifting spot I needed in life.
Not to mention the seriously hot sex scenes. I loved that there was no drama in this relationship, both men just confident and comfortable with each other. I loved the glimpses into past couples relationships we got and the hint of two spin-off series that have me giddy with excitement. Just a delicious conclusion to a swoon-worthy trilogy.
