Blog Tour & Review: Forever Wilde in Aster Valley by Lucy Lennox

SYNOPSIS:

When Miller Hobbs finds himself on a winter vacation in Colorado with the giant, exceedingly loud, Marian and Wilde families, he doesn’t quite know what to do with himself. He’s not really a Marian or a Wilde despite having DNA ties to both.

So every morning before the rest of the family wakes up and fills Rockley Lodge with holiday merriment (and noise), he escapes to the quaint downtown of Aster Valley where he spies a man through the bakery window kneading dough and dancing to music only he can hear. Miller is entranced by the dancing baker, and when Darius looks up and catches Miller staring, the interest suddenly goes both ways.

Can two strangers find love among the quaint chaos of an Aster Valley Christmas? Even if it includes the two most overwhelming and meddling families vying for the title of greatest matchmakers of all time?

REVIEW:

*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*

I binge read the entire Forever Wilde series last year, so when an email arrived in my inbox telling me that there was going to be another book in the series, I jumped at the chance to read it. Plus it’s a holiday romance we all know that I am an absolute sucker for Christmas romances as soon as fall rolls around.

I really liked quaint, small-town charm of Aster Valley. Miller feels like a stray amongst his family and his grief is palpable. In contrast, Darius, our sweet and sexy baker, complimented Miller so well. Darius was strong, confident, comforting, and knew how to navigate a large family. He was the pillar of support that Miller so desperately needed. The attraction and chemistry between these two is instantaneous. They just went together perfectly and while at times, it did feel rushed and a lot like insta-love, I liked how they acknowledged that while they feel attraction they still have a lot to learn about each other.

In terms of Miller finding his place within the Wilde/Marian family, well it is a challenge. His grief over losing his mom has been hanging like a cloud over him for months. And all it takes is Tilly to make one off-handed comment to set both her and Miller on a collision course. But this is where the story soared for me. Miller and Tilly communicating had my heart so full, the hard conversations were much needed and the character growth in each of them left me with a smile on my face as I finished up the book.
