Review: Mr. Naughty List by Leta Blake
A cute teacher gets a spanking this Christmas. How hot can it get being on his former student’s Naughty List?
Is Aaron allowed to want a hot holiday fling with his young former student? Even more forbidden, is he allowed to want this student to spank him?
It’s another Christmas, and Aaron is still in the closet as a gay man and a natural submissive. With one youthful indiscretion blacking his ethics record, he can’t afford to indulge his desires no matter how pent up and needy that leaves him.
Until his former student comes home for the holidays.
Dominant and charming, RJ knows what Aaron needs—intense, steamy encounters and a firm hand. As Christmas nears, RJ helps Aaron unlock his true self. But family and fallout await, and all good things must end.
Or can their hot holiday affair turn them into lasting lovers?
REVIEW:
Okay so one disclaimer first, this cover doesn’t match the characters. In fact, Aaron is described frequently throughout the novel as having a soft stomach and not a six pack. Cover aside, I really enjoyed this installment to the Home for the Holidays series. I loved the touch of ‘forbidden’ but also how brutally honest and vulnerable both men were.
I was excited to see RJ’s story was the next one in this series as he really intrigued me during the first book. And when I found out his love interest and counterpart was Mr. Danvers (his former teacher), I couldn’t wait to start the book. While both men have baggage and family issues to work through, their personal demons were balanced perfectly with them finding solace and comfort with each other. They truly bond and fulfill a side of each other they didn’t even know needed filling. Their chemistry in the bedroom was instant and sizzling but they also had a tender vulnerability during conversations that had my hear soaring.
Both characters worked through challenging familial relationships and I adored how each man grew over the course of the story. Aaron was too cute and I loved how RJ took care of him, both in and out of the bedroom. The ending took me a little bit by surprise, I didn’t expect it but also it felt very fitting. And don’t even get me started on the epilogue, be prepared to close this book with a stupid grin on your face.
