Review: The Best Men by Sarina Bowen & Lauren Blakely

SYNOPSIS:

In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a life-long penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that’s no excuse to send ten drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake.

If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman.

I also used the phrase “super hot wingman,” so I’d like to die now.

Instead, I have to plan a wedding with the aforementioned hottie and share a too-small guesthouse in steamy Miami.

Three days in the sun with the cocky, charming former athlete who likes to push my buttons? Fine, two can play at that let’s-infuriate-each-other game.

Until Asher ups the stakes with one wildly sexy suggestion. A no-strings fling, then I go back to my single dad life in New York, and he returns to his star-studded one.

Sign me up.

But the more nights I spend with the other best man, the more I want days too, and that just can’t happen. Especially when I find out the real reason why…

REVIEW:

I feel like I have been in a book rut forever but this book easily cured me! I couldn’t get enough of this story from the witty banter that had me laughing out loud to the undeniable chemistry between Asher and Mark, they instantly enthralled me.

I can’t get enough of the tension or chemistry between Asher and Mark. Although complete opposites, they somehow work and balance each other out perfectly. Asher brings some much needed fun and relaxation to Mark’s life while Mark grounds Asher and gives him a reprieve. And while the sexual tension between these two builds to a breaking point, there is so much more to the story than their sizzling bedroom antics. The story was balanced with heartfelt conversations and a surprising amount of depth that had my heart soaring.

Past the sweet and sexy romance, the secondary characters all enriched the story and had me grinning non-stop. Mark’s daughter stole the scene every time she appeared on the pages. Mark’s sister and fiancé had me both smiling and cringing on numerous occasions. Even Mark’s ex-wife contributed to his character arc. Truly a deliciously sexy, feel good romance that will leave you with a smile on your face and begging for more.
