Review: The Accidental Everything by Amy Bellows
Some omegas go to clubs to pick up alphas. Isaac Evans cruises at his poetry readings.
He doesn’t mean to sleep with Rhett Donovan of the Donovan Poetry Fellowship—the prestigious grant he dreamed of receiving before he messed around with the alpha who awards it. And when Rhett gives him a unique career opportunity, Isaac doesn’t mean to fall in love. If anyone found out about his relationship with Rhett, it could mean a career-ending scandal for them both.
He doesn’t mean to get pregnant either. His life is full of accidents.
After Isaac’s made every possible mistake, he has nothing but his poetry to keep him afloat. But in the game of love, poetry might be enough.
REVIEW:
This book was the light, fluffy interlude story I needed. After reading a few intense books, I needed something sweet, and light-hearted to dive into. I stumbled across this story and decided to give it a chance. It isn’t an intense read, but it was sweet and sexy and exactly what I needed.
Isaac is such a unique character, endless confident in his sexuality even while in his omega status. Rhett is not your run of the mill alpha, he was surprisingly tender and kind. And while these two start things off with a lot of sizzling bedroom chemistry and some insta-lust that morphs into insta-love, the story is about more than that. Rhett and Isaac are both just two tragically lonely people who find sanctuary in each other. I like how they complimented each other and worked together.
Of course, the story contains more than this sexy romance, there is some drama too. The drama causes Isaac to be a little over the top but meh, I wasn’t shocked by how everything played out. If you are looking for a quick escape read as a palette cleanser, this is your book.
