Review: Addicted to His Blood by Brea Alepoú
At one point blood was all they had.
Being a witch in Multicity is hard enough. It’s a vampire run territory but Finnely enjoys his days there… until his ex, freaking prince of the vampires, moves there.
There has been a change in the world recently. Power struggles abound in the supernatural community and peace is fragile at best.
With Finnely’s coven making him choose a side, he is trapped between two worlds. Does he choose his heart? Or stay with his family?
An A-hole prince, a broken werewolf, a cocky vampire, and a wayward witch shouldn’t work, but maybe their addiction to each other can overpower all.
REVIEW:
And here I thought Karter’s story was dark, but Finnely definitely takes it up to a new level, one in which I couldn’t get enough of. From his coven constantly judging him for his way of life to Cambridge demanding monogamy, I adored how Finnely lives his life with a take no sh*t attitude.
Finnely was a delightfully complex character with his fair share of kinks. He has a soft spot for Rome who initially seems broken but proves himself to be so much more than his trauma. Then there is Jacob, who is straight out of a true crime stalker documentary. And while at first I found him creepy, eventually his quirky stalker ways became endearing, especially since Finnely enjoyed his behavior so much. Finally, there is the delicious push-pull between Finnely and Cambridge, they truly encompass a fine line between love and hate. Combine all of this together for an explosive romance, seriously sexy threesomes, and just a tantalizing build up of passion and chemistry.
This doesn’t even get into the plot, where the tensions to out King Rheland extend to other paranormal beings and Finnely’s coven is even see the effects. But the coven isn’t without its own faults, there were shocking betrayals and battles that left more questions than answers. I was reeling from how tense some of these sense were and couldn’t turn the page fast enough. In the end, I adored the journey this story took me on and I can’t wait to dive into the next one.
