Review: Sem by Cora Rose
Sometimes your dream guy isn’t who you think he is.
Sem has been stalking me for months. He shows up everywhere I am and lurks in the background, his eyes always on me. I don’t understand his fascination with me, but he won’t leave me alone.
He’s definitely not my type. He’s too big, too reckless, and too feral.
But then one night he breaks into my apartment and dares me to do something crazy and I can’t say no.
Then I do it again. And again.
Now it seems we’re both addicted to this secret little game.
But when I begin to see the man beneath the brutish exterior, will falling in love prove to be the most reckless bet yet?
REVIEW:
I am actually enjoying these taboo topics more than I thought I would. And Sem was no different with his stalker tendencies. For some reason, him and Maggie just work. There was some hidden depth amongst all the sizzling sex scenes that had me quickly falling for them both.
Sem mets Maggie in Whit and quickly becomes obsessed with this quirky, charismatic man. And while at first Maggie loathes Sem and his stalker ways, he quickly becomes enamored by Sem’s protective streak, he finds himself looking forward to Sem breaking into his apartment; but most of all, he finds Sem is so much more than meets the eye. I adored how Sem just wants to protect and care of Maggie, his heart knows no boundaries.
Then there is sweet, cuddly Maggie who would sass right back at Sem. And in a surprise twist, Sem was a giant compared to Maggie, and the height difference really worked for me. I practically swooned every time Sem would just pick Maggie up and carry him. But like I mentioned, there was a surprise depth and heart here too, Maggie helps Sem learn that he is more than his learning disability. In return, Maggie learns that his dream guy may be just in front of him. This book was just fluffy, sizzling, sexy goodness.
