Review: Heart2Heart: A Contemporary Charity Anthology, Volume 7
Once upon a time SIX YEARS AGO, the Heart2Heart app made its first batch of incredibly unlikely (but oh-so-perfect) love matches. So a fresh, new group of your favorite authors wondered… what happens when the world’s most perceptive dating software gets an upgrade, just in time for Valentine’s Day?
Will the porcelain teacup collector, the shy rugby player, and the bank robber with a heart of gold find their perfect matches? Only fate (and C.U.P.I.D) know.
As always, all proceeds from this anthology will benefit LGBTQ+ charities to ensure that love in all its incarnations will be celebrated and protected every single day of the year!
REVIEW:
Among Friends by Annabeth Albert
I was looking forward to this read from Annabeth Albert but it was dreadfully boring. If friends to lovers is your jam, you will probably love it but as we all know at this point I am more of an enemies to lovers type of lady. The romance was meh, the intimacy was awkward, and everything happened in the span of a week. The story just needed that wow factor to draw you in and it was desperately lacking.
When CUPID Strikes by Cora Rose
On the flip side, I adored this gay-for-you romance by Cora Rose. The romance happens over the course of several weeks and I couldn’t get enough of the sunshine-grumpy trope. Cute, lighthearted librarian accidently gets paired with ‘straight’, rigid lawyer…the plot line had me grinning from the get go. The sex scenes are sizzling and the ending was endearing.
