Review: Teach Me by Neve Wilder

SYNOPSIS:Book cover of teach me by Neve Wilder, the 4th book in the Extracurricular Activities Series.

Two strangers. One secret encounter. A whole lotta forbidden chemistry.

It was supposed to be an anonymous thrill, fueled by raw desire.
No strings, just the escape we both craved.

The last thing I need is complications, especially from a casual hookup. That was the plan.

Except now, he’s not just some guy from a night I can’t forget. He’s in front of my class…teaching it. Turns out life has some unexpected lessons in store for me, and my professor is holding the syllabus.

Suddenly, what was supposed to be simple is anything but.

Our connection is too intense, and the stakes are way too high—his career, my recovery, our futures.
Every class is a battle against temptation, every glance a spark threatening to ignite.

We know it’s reckless, yet the magnetic pull between us is irresistible. I’m not just battling the ghosts of my past but also the fear that everything I’ve worked so hard to rebuild might crumble.

He has everything to lose, and so do I. But when surrender feels this right, walking away becomes the toughest test of all.

REVIEW:

As a past professor myself, I always am a little trepid about diving into the student-teacher romance trope. But I didn’t need to have that worry with Neve Wilder. In fact this story was so much more than the sexy romance I was anticipating.

Cameron was such a well developed character, he had so much hidden depth and the layers of his damage surprised even me. You could feel his internal struggles and they resonated with me on a level that left me speechless. Grady was the perfect counter to Cameron, poised, organized, refined; he smoothed out Cameron’s rough edges. In terms of romance, I love how this all started with a mystery hook-up. The build-up, chemistry, and tension between these two is off the charts.

I loved their struggles to be morally correct. Everything from the mature and hard conversations to working through things, it was perfect. They didn’t immediately go all scorch Earth and the ending few chapters had me swooning endlessly because there wasn’t some dramatic blowup, it was just two consenting adults doing what was best for each of other and determined to make it to a wholesome relationship on the other side. Sizzling attraction, hidden heart, and endless swooning sum up this story.
