Review: Loving Leo by Cora Rose & Nicole Dykes

SYNOPSIS:Loving Leo is the fourth book in the Behind the Camera series by Cora Rose and Nicole Dykes.

I probably shouldn’t be in someone’s office that I don’t know, filming content for my site, but I quite like the view it affords me, and I really like that leather chair.
I like it even more when the owner of the office turns out to be my grumpy, buttoned up boss, and he catches me in the act. Literally.
He’s not happy about it, but he doesn’t leave, and I don’t stop.
Suddenly, he’s around all the time. Watching me. Taunting me. Teasing me.
It soon becomes a game. A game only we play.
We are opposites in every single way. He can never be seen with someone like me, and I will never be enough for him.
But the more we are around each other, the more I want to give him.
Maybe we can see where this leads if our hearts don’t get broken first.

This was a positively delightful installment to the Behind the Camera series. Cora Rose and Nicole Dykes have mastered the art of sexy sweet reads and Loving Leo was no exception. It was a delicious grumpy sunshine read with a happily-ever-after.

At first the pacing started off a little slow, but I loved the tension and build up between Leo and Heath. The sexual tension is off the charts, a will they or won’t they game. Leo was such a breath of fresh air, a truly happy character who was adaptable and able to roll with any changes. Heath was the opposite, his prickly demeanor and the constant pressure from his parents had him tense to say the least. But what started off as a scandalous encounter, quickly turns into a tentative friendship with benefits.

What I really adored about this story was the development, it wasn’t all sexual. Both Leo and Heath had some depth and heart, growing and evolving as characters over the course of the story. I’d say the only thing I didn’t care for was Selena (Heath’s sister) getting drunk and blurting out personal truths about Leo. She overstepped a boundary there and that gave me some major ick. Overall, I moved on and was happy to see some familiar faces and cameos. Another great escapism read from Cora and Nicole.
