Review: Hashtag Holidate by Lucy Lennox
I came to Legacy, Montana, to sell a fantasy—twelve Insta-ready #Holidates of Christmas. One career-making brand deal. Zero drama.
Then my videographer bailed, and in walked Maddox Sullivan.
Grumpy. Gorgeous. Growly. A mountain man with zero chill and even less tolerance for influencers like me. He agrees to film my content—off-camera only—but when my first date cancels, guess who ends up in front of the lens?
Cue the fireworks.
Our chemistry is instant. My followers are obsessed. #TeamMaddrian starts trending. Suddenly, all my dates are mysteriously dropping out, and Maddox is reluctantly starring in every single holidate—sleigh rides, snowball fights, cocoa by the fire, kisses under the mistletoe.
And I… I’m starting to forget this was ever supposed to be pretend.
Because every time Maddox looks at me, I feel something real. Something lasting. Something terrifying.
I came here for curated content. Now I’m dreaming of a life I never thought I wanted—with a man I never saw coming.
But am I falling for the picture-perfect holiday fantasy? Or could this be the start of my real-life happily ever after?
REVIEW:
*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*
This book is exactly how I wanted to kick-off this years holiday reads. I knew it was going to be something special the second Lucy Lennox posted the cover, and the story did not disappoint. Filled with holiday cheer, meddlesome family and neighbors, and cozy, small-town vibes, I found myself reading this book slowly and savoring every detail down till the very end.
Adrian and Maddox are the perfect counterparts, giving grumpy-sunshine feels with a dash of enemies-to-lovers. I couldn’t get enough of the banter or the will they-won’t they push-pull. It was positively tantalizing, add in a picturesque town and I was swooning. Both men are so much more than their initial impressions and I loved the hidden depth and heart. Not to mention the whole town meddling to get these two together, it was the perfect touch of chaos.
If you’ve read Lucy Lennox’s Made Marian series, you are in for some surprise cameos, and I am a sucker for old, familiar faces. It was like watching a Hallmark movie play out in head, complete with fuzzy feels and a happily-ever-after. All I can say is, I want more holiday romances from Lucy!
