Blog Tour & Review: Ache for You by J.T. Geissinger

SYNOPSIS:

In this fairy tale with a sexy twist, she’s a penniless San Francisco seamstress. He’s the king of Italian couture. Who’s got designs on whom?

Boutique owner Kimber DiSanto has seen better days. She’s been dumped at the altar by Prince Charmless, her business went up in flames (literally), and now she’s stuck in Florence, Italy, with an ice-queen stepmother, to try to save her late father’s failing dress shop. Only one thing could make it worse: another man in her life. The arrogant Italian fashion tycoon offering to buy her father’s shop is as rich as he is sexy, and their attraction is off the charts. But Kimber’s not about to get burned again.

Women don’t say no to Matteo Moretti—and certainly not with Kimber’s stinging precision. With all the heat and fury sparking between them, Matteo can’t resist baiting the gorgeous American. His plan? Win her over one scorching kiss at a time.

Kimber tells herself it’s all just a game. That her broken heart isn’t in danger, and that Matteo’s touch does not make her Lady Land dance with joy. But sometimes it takes the fieriest of enemies to turn a fantasy into a real-life romance.

REVIEW:

*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*

This book was scorching hot, dare I say the steamiest in the series?! I knew I was reading Ache for You as soon as a friend introduced me to J.T. Geissinger this summer. I am trying to expand my reading genres and usually don’t do sizzling romances because true story, I blush uncontrollably. No matter how many kisses or sex scenes I read, as soon as the pages start steaming up, my face starts turning red. So as you can imagine I spend the majority of this book as a delightful tomato, dying a slow, death from the sexual tension between Kimber and Matteo.

It was really the best possible way to go. Kimber is a feisty woman who is the definition of Murphy’s Law. Fiance dumps her, check. Loses her business and all her work, check. Loss of loved ones, check. If something can go wrong with her, it will. I spent a good portion of the book wondering if she was ever going to catch a break because the hits just seemed to keep coming. But Kimber is resilient and determined, she held her chin high through it all.

But what I really want to talk about is Matteo because SWOON. Seriously, fell so head-over-heels for this cocky, arrogant Italian with the body of a Greek God. I loved his stubborn attitude, Italian dirty talk, and his innate ability to read people. His word volley with Kimber had me bouncing back and forth from giggling to combusting into a pile of ashes where I sat. The tension and competition between these two is off the charts! Have I mention how steamy this book was?! *fans self* Lets just say Matteo wasn’t all talk, and thank goodness for that!

I really loved the balance in the story, from the romance to the secondary characters, everyone had a moment to shine. I was captivated by Jenner, Kimber’s gay BFF. He was hilarious and added much needed sass, comic relief, and real talk. Brad, well I didn’t see his story line coming but I liked his complete 180 overhaul and the man we meet at the beginning of the story is not who we see as we close the last page. But h*ll if I am honest, I am still over here lusting after Matteo…from his romantic gestures to his dirty mouth, he just stole every scene and page, and I am definitely okay with that!
