Review: Between Us and Forever by Dylan Allen

SYNOPSIS:

Once upon a sultry summer night, a princess and a pariah shared a forbidden kiss that neither would ever forget.

But, very quickly, Carter and Elizabeth learn that there are some rules, that even love won’t allow them to break.

Ten years later he’s back in town.

He’s no longer the outcast

She’s no longer the sweetheart.

And, this time, nothing will get between them and their forever.

REVIEW:

This book was stupidly adorable. I’m usually not a big fan of second chance romances but this was super sweet. Lizzy and Carter fall right back into love without missing a beat. There romance was emotional, quick and endearing. From teenage lovers to strangers and back to lovers, they have excellent chemistry and I really enjoyed Dylan Allen’s writing. It was effortless and truly focused on the romance while giving me enough information to maintain the story line.

I only have 2 grievances, one being their were some cringy lines. Lines that weren’t said by the characters but descriptive lines that I was like oh that didn’t sound good out all. My second peeve is they make such a big deal out of the scar on her face but they never tell us why she has a scar. Why was Carter at her wedding, why was she marrying someone else, I just have a lot of unanswered questions about their romance and that is rather annoying.
