Review: Kiss the Girl by Tara Sivec

SYNOPSIS:

A struggling antiques collector finds herself falling in love with a millionaire playboy; but can she ever be a part of his world?

Meet the Naughty Princess Club, a series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that brings readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that three women fall into once they decide to strut their stuff and bring on their own happily ever after.

While her friends have broken free of their insecurities, Ariel Waters is struggling to come out of her shell. Her ex-husband took away her voice and her self-confidence, and Ariel is drowning under a sea of debt to afford the alimony she has to pay him. She refuses to ever fall for a man’s charms again, and is determined to make her own way.

When her house and her beloved antiques are taken by the bank after too many missed payments, Ariel finds herself adrift until the infuriatingly charming Eric Sailor comes to her rescue. Although she can’t stand the millionaire playboy, Eric’s kindness and unconditional support reveal hidden depths and a love that Ariel never imagined she could find.

But there are outside influences who will stop at nothing to keep them apart; can Ariel and Eric weather the storm and find a way to be together?

REVIEW:

*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*

This book was a f*ckin delight! I have been excited for Ariel’s book since her loud mouth busted onto the scene, screaming, cussing, and causing chaos. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint, if anything it exceeded my expectations. I was trying desperately to savor it because it’s the last book in the series but lets be honest…I couldn’t put the d*mn book down!

First let me talk about the characters, Ariel was so much more than who she was seen as in the early books. This woman is filled with depth and has been to h*ll and back. I felt for her and to see her so broken from her ex-husband had me in rage. But watching her become the sassy, no sh*t, confident AF woman we all know she is was awe-inspiring. I want to be Ariel…I think we could all benefit from having a little bit of Ariel in our life. Now I know I said PJ was my favorite….and then Beast, but lets be real, ERIC SAILOR is the BEST! Seriously, I was swooning so hard for him. His ability to read Ariel and know what she needs had me sighing all the feels. Not only is he drop-dead sexy but he is witty, charming, and was sweeping me off my feet with his heartfelt confessions that were balanced with a heavy dose of sexual tension.

The banter between Ariel and Eric had me in a fit of giggles. You know the old school 80s movies where a teenager lays on the bed and rolls around giggling and chatting…that was me with this book. I couldn’t stop, I was just crushing and blushing so hard. In contrast to Cindy and Belle’s book, I was so thankful that Ariel and Eric’s wasn’t as much of a slow burn. I mean this has been building up for three books now and I was going to combust just from the electricity in the air when these two are in the same room. Seriously, make sure you have a nice, tall glass of ice water going into this book, you will need it.

I loved that Ariel and Eric had to fight for their love. From a garbage pile of an ex-husband to a toxic mother (seriously, she is the f*ckin worst!), things just kept finding a way to come between them. But with a little meddling from their friends, they get the happily ever after they deserve. The epilogue was by far the best part of the book, I was holding back tears and sighing in content as Tara fulfilled all my hearts desires. She not only gave these characters closure and wrapped everything up in neat, little bows, but she gave us readers closure. I can honestly say I closed the book and its been a couple hours and I am still sitting her smiling over it.

An absolutely hilarious series, with an epic conclusion, I cannot recommend it enough. Light-hearted, fun, and will leave you smiling for days and feeling all the feels.
